About OACD
OACD was established in 2011 originally to deliver a competence management project for an Oil & Gas Company.
The company diversified and now offers a portfolio approach to offering training services, management development and coaching and competence systems support.
A variety of training courses have been designed and delivered to over 50 companies in the last 5 years.

I am passionate about supporting people in developing personal effectiveness via appropriate use of behaviours that promote good working relationships and workplace productivity.
As a management consultant, trainer and coach most of my work involves facilitating teams and individuals to examine their personal effectiveness via interactive workshops and 1-2-1 feedback.
I have spent much of my career working within the oil and gas industry. I began in a technical role as a research drilling engineer but subsequently developed skills in people management, progressing to working as global training and competence manager for a drilling company.
I currently work with clients from multiple industry sectors including energy sector, food manufacturers, general manufacturing, local government, professional services, higher education and the Third Sector.
My passion for a coaching approach has grown over the years as I have seen managers struggle to engage with their teams due to a lack of personal awareness or training.
Compliance training is vital, but without core people skills managers often fail to get the most out of themselves and their teams.
My personal strengths include getting individuals to undertake activities that challenge them, to look at their preferred behaviours, and set concrete development plans to develop personal effectiveness.
I am a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Member of the Association of Coaches and a Member of the International Stress Management Association UK.
Jayne is Belbin Team Role accredited and able to offer Belbin Team building events.
I have kept up with my assessment and verification skills and have acted as an Assessor for ILM Certificate In The Principles Of Leadership And Management (Level 3), an Assessor for L3 CIPD Human Resource Practice and currently an Internal Verification for CIPD L3 People Practice Course.

Jayne has trained over 40 of our staff on Management Development Skills during the past year. Her courses are always well received by staff who find her class dynamic and appreciate her vast knowledge of the subject. Her classes have a good mix between theory and practice, with a great amount of role play activities for delegates to take part of which keeps them engaged throughout the training and gives them an opportunity to try things out in a safe environment. Her courses are delivered in a way to allow for good team building between delegates as well, which is a bonus. As we continue to train our staff on how to be better managers and supervisors, Jayne will continue to be our choice of trainer to deliver this training.
